Chelsea Kopachena combines her passion and knowledge of horses with 22 years of experience riding and 14 years instructing in a variety of disciplines. She is dedicated to education and an open minded approach. Chelsea holds instructor certification through the internationally recognized Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA). She has worked with all levels of riders in group and private riding lesson programs for 10 years at Miracle Ranch, as well as breaking/ schooling a variety of breeds of horses, from Welsh Ponies to Draft crosses, and everything in between. Chelsea has combined her passion for horses with a love of traveling over the years. She has worked with racehorses at Muskoka Farms, Australia, and received coaching in jumping and stable management training in London England, at Mote End Farm, for 12 months. There she gained invaluable experience from top British Horse Society instructors. When back in Canada she apprenticed with Reining trainer Guy Robertson, and rode with Dressage instructor Elaine Banfield. Chelsea holds a Horse Production and Management Certificate from the University of Manitoba, Equine First Aid Training, and holds her B.A with Distinction in Psychology from the U. of M. She has studied Sport Psychology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Fitness training, and Yoga- all of which she utilizes
in her diverse teaching method. Chelsea strives to provide a learning environment that takes the individual's needs, goals, and abilities into consideration, and prioritizes safety. Each session is ended with the rider feeling they have accomplished something, and riders quickly gain confidence under Chelsea's encouraging approach. Chelsea can help riders communicate more effectively with horses, and teach horses to be more respectful and responsive- resulting in stronger and more enjoyable horse- rider partnerships. Chelsea has had coaching with a variety of instructors and clinicians over the years, and has taught hundreds or horse- rider combinations. If a rider has a challenge- Chelsea will have dozens of exercises to help them work through it. Chelsea is always taking opportunities to improve her teaching through furthering education. She is dedicated to lifelong learning and sharing that with others.
At 29 years of age, Chelsea purchased her own riding school and moved Diversity Horsemanship to the new location, where the business operates today. In 2014 she stunt doubled for the main actress on the TV series the Pinkertons and appeared in several episodes.

Chelsea loves to travel and has been to over 20 countries all over the world, and has lived and worked with horses in Australia and England

Chelsea has written an illustrative how-to guide (pictured left) which helps riders learn how to do off the horse exercises between rides which help with various riding skills and challenges.

Chelsea offers rider fitness clinics, which include off the horse stretching and strength training specific for riding, exercise theory, and mounted components, including stretching while mounted.
